The Academy Character profile is a comprehensive evaluation report prepared by Warhorse. The objective was to create easy to understand reports out of pages of data on each student. The report was divided into 4 parts.
Opening letter :
The opening page would contain context for understanding the student evaluation. Since the course was designed like a game, the context was to be provided by a character they’ve been guided by. The page was designed as a letter and the font was chosen to simulate a video game.
The key :
The back of the 4 page report was required to convey terms used through the report and help parents understand the evaluation better. The design was to convey information best and ensure type is legible for older readers.
The Character Sheet :
The page would be a quick summary about the student. It will show their progress across 5 key traits, personalized overall feedback and an overall grade.
The design uses video game typography to catch the interest of students. The overall grade is visualized as a plant to convey that learning is a forever nurturing process.
Detailed Breakdown :
The 3rd page is to comprehensively break down to reader their progress in each skill and trait. Every area of consideration is required to convey a grade and an appropriate comment specific to that skill and grade.
The table makes reading this easy and the plant analogy is further explained through detailed illustrations.
